Rosehip honey
by Alisa
(Maine)
I absolutely love rosehips, and they are full of antioxidants that make your skin smooth and combat free radical damage!
Here is a healthy and antioxidant-packed recipe for rosehip honey:
? 1 1/2-2 cups rosehips, cut and seeded
? 1/2 cup unpasteurized honey
Cram the rosehips into a jar and pour the honey over them. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours. This honey should last in the fridge at least a few months. Delicious! Also pair with rosehip tea for an incredible high ORAC snack.
Rosehip tea:
Soak 1/4 cup of dried or fresh rosehips in boiling water, at least 1/2 hour.
The rosehip honey enhances the fragrant and bitter flavour. Enjoy! For more recipes and info on antioxidants, see Antioxidant Buzz
Thanks Alisa, Love these Healthy recipes! Make sure your rose hips are from Your garden, or that you are sure they are pesticide free!
