What is a Pergola?

A Pergola is a garden feature that forms a shaded walk or passageway. It is constructed with open lattice to support woody vines.

Beautiful Pergolas add sooo... much to your Rose garden!! The perfect way to add climbing roses to your garden.

These structures are constructed of Wood, Plastic or Metal. Typically the oldest ones were made from wood.

The material used to construct the pergola has a hugh impact on the look and use.

Wood The oldest- Can be a Do It Yourself You can paint or stain to match your house or other outdoor structures. It should be made from pressure treated wood- but it still will eventually rot.

Plastic Makes a beautiful more modern looking Pergola- Many designs available. Comes in just about any color you would want - No painting or staining to do.

Metal The most durable- goes very well with wroght Iron gates and fences- Could rust, depending on the material you choose- Aluminum does not rust and is very light weight.
