Zephirine Drouhin Rose
Nearly Thornless Pink Climber
The Zephirine Drouhin Rose is a nearly thornless climbing Bourbon rose. One of the most beautiful of all antique climbing roses!
These pink climbing roses are incredibly fragrant, shade tolerant, and virtually thornless roses. They are disease resistant, and long blooming--all without sacrificing absolute beauty! They are also very winter hardy.
Bred in France, this is one of the most popular roses of all time.
An amazing abundance of deep pink blooms that peak in spring and again in fall. The mildew resistant foliage begins as coppery-purple and then turns a rich, dark green.
Does remarkably well in shade and is excellent for north facing walls and areas with little sunlight. Extremely tolerant of alkaline soil and pollution. Grows 8-12ft. tall and is an absolute must for any garden that wants pink antique climbing roses. They command a lot of attention from garden visitors.

They put on a truely extravagant display, once the rose becomes established. Give it a few years for the full show! The Zephirine Drouhin rose usually does well in all types of landscapes.

This is one from my garden, so I can tell you first hand how extremely beautiful it is! I planted another one this past Spring, but plan on adding a couple more to make a very stunning display.
After growing this rose, I can see why it was (and still is) so very popular.
The hummingbirds that visit my garden find it irresistable! I find it one of the most striking and romantic roses in the garden. Any deliciously fragrant!
If you have an arbor and are undecided on what to grow on it....
The smooth canes are pliable and easy to train.
Hardiness zones are 6-10 Note: I've had good luck with this rose in my zone 5 (give winter protection)
I'd say This rose is worth the effort!
