The Young Lycidas English rose is a David Austin creation.
It is a charming rose with a unique color blend. The blooms are very deep magenta, pink and red, with a hint of light purple on the outer petals.
The color contrasts well with the silver colored outside petals. It's a rose that is hard to describe.... you have to actually see one for yourself to appreciate the beauty of the colors.
And the fragrance....., simply delicious! As the blooms open, the scent is pure Tea fragrance, but as the flower matures, it changes to a nice blend of Tea and Old Rose, with hints of cedar wood. (Simply wonderful)
