This French rose's real name is 'Marechal Leclerc'. In the U.S. it is know as "Touch of Class".
For Ten years in a row, it was voted top American exhibition rose. It's (real) name, commemorates Marechal Philippe Leclerc, the hero of the liberation of Paris in 1945.
It is a very "classy" rose that displays attractive, ruffled petals, with a coral pink glow to them. New foliage is red, maturing to green. The flowers achieve their best color in cooler temperatures.
These Hybrid Tea roses are good garden roses for use in a bed, border, or even as a hedge. It grows vigorously upright with large, attractive,dark green leaves. Mildew can sometimes be a problem with this rose.
