The Sonia Rose is a very unique Grandiflora Hybrid Tea rose. It has a most unusual bloom that appears to have a small rose in the middle of it's larger outer petals.

You have to see this rose to appreciate it's uniqueness.

It has been a favorite in wedding bouquets for a long time, and a very popular florist rose for that reason.

Blooms Well formed, unusual, semi double flowers are salmon pink, with peachy/yellow undertones. They are 3-4' across, with 30 petals

Growth Habits Small,compact plants grow 3-4'tall with about a 3' spread.

Foliage New foliage appears red,then turns Dark green, shinny, and leathery

These Grandiflora roses were named for Alain Meillands daughter. It is one of the most popular roses from the house of Meilland,with over 40 million plants sold.

Blooms grow in singles, or in clusters, on long, graceful stems, perfect for cutting. The flowers continue to bloom well throughout the growing season.

The shrimp/pink flowers have excellent form, and make long lasting cut flowers. You can see why it is such a popular florist rose, and also great in the rose garden. It can be grown in a container, but will need winter protection.

A row of these pink Grandiflora roses will make a welcoming hedge, as they are interesting all season. The foliage starts off red in Spring,turning to green, and soon followed by classic tall buds.
