Help Choosing Ones Hardy to Your Area

roses for your climateChoose Roses Hardy to Your Climate

If you Choose the right roses for your climate, you will have more success in growing them.

The same rose will perform differently in different parts of the country, depending on your climate.

Regional conditions factor in to the vigor, hardiness, color, and even the fragrance of the rose.

Why roses perform differently...

Regions with lots of sun;

  • Roses can grow larger
  • The fragrance could be stronger
  • Colors may look softer, more faded

Colder regions mean;

  • Smaller sized blooms
  • Less fragrant then the same rose in a warm climate
  • Deeper more pronounced colored petals

Damp, and/or Humid areas;

  • Larger sized flowers
  • Deeper colors
  • You will have to deal with fungus infections!
