Rose Gardening in Fall

Fall is a great time for making the beds bigger, and edging them.

Sometimes the roses outgrow their bed,so it is wise to make the bed larger to accommodate them. I spent the summer edging all my rose beds (and enlarging them in the process). I also added new mulch to all the beds.

In the fall, you should clean up the garden of any fallen leaves, petals, sticks or other material that shouldn't be there, (especially leaves from bushes that had black-spot disease)

Keep watering the rose plants, so they will go into dormancy being well hydrated.

This is a fantastic Floribunda rose with very unique coloring! I planted it this spring, and am very pleased with it.

Note; For some strange reason, it appears to have a white center in my picture, but I can assure you, the centers are very yellow! A simply beautiful rose that flowered all season! Read more about it here; yabba dabba do rose
