New Dawn Rose

New Dawn Climbing Roses

New Dawn Rose, New Dawn Climbing roses, are considered the most popular rose in the world. It is the yardstick against which all repeat flowering climbers are measured.

These easy to grow roses, are produced in great profusion on a great plant.

The color of New Dawn, is a silvery blushed pink of medium size. The pink color is so light, mine seem to almost fade to white.

They are in constant bloom. The large flowers are in the Tea form, so.... pretty.

Type Large Flowered Climbing Rose

Hybridizer Dreer 1930

Blooms Soft Pink, semi-double, cupped petals are 3 1/2" wide with 35-40 petals

Growth Habits Vigorous, upright,, bushy, 18-20' tall x 6-10'

Foliage Large size, medium dark green color, glossy

Fragrance moderate, sweet, rose

Awards World Federation of Rose Societies Hall of Fame 1997

Hardy Zone 4-10

New Dawn has a moderate, sweet rose fragrance.

It's no wonder that in 1977 this rose was voted the most popular rose in the world.

Can grow from 18-20 feet, depending on climate. They are lovely growing on an

arbor. They are equally lovely as a free standing Hedge, or growing on pillars.

A very hardy climbing rose that is winter hardy to zone 4. It holds the first plant patent issued in the U.S.

It can be grown as a shrub, if trimmed as such.

A double-flowered blush pink with bright yellow stamens that is free flowering and sweetly fragrant and reblooms persistently deep into fall. Also disease resistant, especially to black spot, the bane of many Roses here. A great Rose in every respect.

This is my New Dawn, blooming in my garden in mid June. It's one of my favorites!
