The beautiful two-toned buds open slowly to well formed exhibition type blooms that are very long lasting. The bush looks nice in all stages of bloom from bud to fully open flowers.
The petals are a rich cherry pink on one side with silvery white backs. As the individual petals unfurl, they curve over the center of the flower to a new point around the sides. At first the contrast between white and crimson is very strong, but once all the petals are unfurled, you'll see a bright patch of white in the center of the flower.
When the flowers are fully open, you will no longer see the white undersides.
This vigorous growing plant is fairly disease resistant, and grows upright, and stocky.
It is a healthy growing bush with dark leaves that have purplish colored stems, and crimson colored new growth.
Flowers come on long, upright stems, but beware when cutting bouquets, it has lots of large thorns! It blooms continually all season long. One of the best of the two-toned roses. These Grandiflora roses are red roses with a white reverse. (Unusual)
Don't you just "love" this rose? This is a bush in full bloom, isn't it pretty?
