Grande Dame Rose

Fragrant Hybrid Tea Rose

The Grande Dame rose, bears the most beautiful and romantic old fashioned fragrant blooms.

The vibrant color on this rose is rose pink, and the blooms are quite large. The rose flowers appear in huge, nodding clusters on a very clean, disease resistant bush with medium green foliage that covers the bush.

The large flowers on the Grande Dame rose are as big as 6" across, and have a luscious, old rose scent that you may remember from roses in the past.

The vigorous growing bush can grow 4-6' tall to 6' wide. It is upright growing, and somewhat spreading and bushy.

More about the Grande Dame rose..

This rose bush produces rose pink, fully double, old fashioned looking blooms with a hints of blue tones.

The hint of blue, comes from the parent rose; (Wild Blue Yonder).

The other parent is; Meredith

The very fragrant blooms are perfect for bouquets. The stems are medium to long length, and the bush has few thorns. Plus....they come in nodding clusters that make a bouquet with just one snip!

The healthy, disease resistant, heat tolerant bush grows busy, spreading, and shrub-like.

Grande Dame blooms in flushes throughout the season, providing lots of cut flowers for the vase. This rose makes a nice addition to the rose garden or landscape in your yard, where it is sure to become a focal point!

Although I don't grow Hybrid Teas, (mainly because they don't do well in my zone 5 climate), I've been looking at this rose for a while, and have had good reports on it, so I'm thinking I might give it a try next spring, if I can find one Own-root. I'll keep you posted...
