Yellow rose in my garden

This is such a beautiful yellow rose! The above picture is a rose in my garden that is at least 6' tall, and I just planted it this Spring!(2015)

These yellow climbing roses are among the first roses to bloom in the spring garden, giving you a burst of sunshine to brighten your day!

Because it has such strong stems, it can stand unsupported as a shrub rose. It can also be trained on a 6-10 ft. pillar.

The blossoms on these climbing rose bushes are semi-double, and are a golden yellow color. Petals are ruffled, and sweetly fragrant.

Flowers appear both singly and in clusters, and have frequent recurrent bloom.

This popular climber is a prolific bloomer, that is almost always covered in flowers. The bright yellow flowers fade to a softer yellow color with age.

When a rose remains popular after more than 40 years, it's a good indication that it is a very good rose to have. With all the new choices available today, these climbing rose bushes are still going strong.

The canes do not have many prickers, making them easy to handle while training the bush.

The Climbing Golden Showers Rose, is a gorgeous rose that I have grown everywhere from Ohio to South Carolina. The climbing Golden Showers rose is very hardy, and always comes back well every year. At one of our houses it even grew two stories high, but was hard to keep attached to the wall in bad wind storms, so now I keep it at about 10 feet.

It is a beautiful buttercup yellow which fades to cream with a pink cast, and has about 22 petals, so it is somewhat like the old fashioned roses. It is a open rose with a pretty boss of red sepals in the center. It smells lovely too, and the petals fall off cleanly, leaving nice red hips that the birds love. It's only problem is blackspot.

I also like "Knockout" roses, particu-
larly the red ones, but you have to be careful and get the new double red ones which stay short because my original red "Knockout", which was supposed to be about three feet high grew into an enormous six foot bush which I had to have removed because it was crowding my other plants. Some of my neighbors have copied me and planted both these roses so it ties our development together.

I love it that rose growers are finally realizing that gardeners want roses that smell good, look pretty, and don't need too much spraying or special care.
