These Gazebo Wedding decorations will make your wedding Gazebo or archway "picture perfect". When it comes to outside garden wedding decorations, the possibilities are endless.

Before starting the gazebo decorating, you should first have chosen a theme for your wedding, and have specific flowers in mind. The theme for your wedding, sets the tone for your decorations.

By that I mean: Will your wedding be

  • Traditional/Formal
  • Fairytale
  • Country/Garden Theme
  • Seaside/Beach Theme

Is it a seasonal wedding?

  • Christmas time
  • Halloween
  • Valentines
  • You also need to know your wedding colors. Even if you have a Traditional wedding, and use mostly white ribbons and tulle, you will want some accent color. This will be the same as colors from the wedding. The Gazebo is a structure of beauty and charm, even without decorations! Gazebo wedding decorations can be very elaborate or very simple, and either would be equally romantic when you exchange your vows inside one.

    The gazebo lends itself quite easily to many decorating possibilities. The posts and trellisis are ideal for adding decorations of ribbons and bows.

    If the gazebo belongs to you, you might consider giving it a fresh coat of paint to spruce it up a bit. Also check the floor for loose boards or nails that might be sticking up.

    If you rent a gazebo or Arch, be sure to abide by the conditions you are given. (Hammering in nails or screws to attach decorations will not be permitted), and you will have to pay for any (damages) or such that you do to it!

    Decorate with Garland

    Garland is very suitable for gazebo wedding decorations. You can use garlands of flowers (fresh) or silk. Silk ones are available in a wide assortment of flowers, fresh ones you can make yourself.

    Attaching strings of garland together will allow you to make any length you need.

    Tulle

    This is a very versitile fabric that you will find very useful in your gazebo wedding decorations. It is available in Many colors, as well as glitter fabric.

    Pomander Balls

    Make from fresh flowers, silk flowers, or colored paper.

    Some wedding Theme Ideas

    Spring Wedding

    The Forsithia flowers are typical Spring flowers. If you use white tulle, you could intertwine some forsithia branches (fresh or silk) into the railings.

    Fall Wedding

    You could use some colored maple leaves, berries, (all available in silk garland) Or get creative and make your own by hot gluing some colorful leaves with acorns and berries. Hot glue the cluster to a large bow and tie to the columns or rainings.

    Place potted Mum flowers (in your wedding colors) around the outside of the gazebo, or line the steps or walk leading to the inside with them. The pot could have the same color bow encircling it.

    Winter Wedding

    Decorate with pinecones, dried berries, Holly for weddings closer to the Christmas season. Use tulle in winter white, and accent bows in your wedding colors. Hang pomander balls under the arches. Line the walkway with topiary tied with the same winter white bows, place flowers that match the bridal bouquet in the pot part of the topiary around the trunk.

    Summer Wedding

    Use Grapes, and summer flowers (Wisteria blossoms look beautiful as they gracefully hang down and sway in the breeze.) Any flowers that match your wedding theme can be used, as well as ribbons and tulle that compliment each other.

    Roses are of course always a lovely choice! Rose trees are very elegant on the sides to the entrance. Tie velvet or satin ribbon around the pots.

    Valentines Wedding Theme

    If you chose valentines day for your wedding, you proabably want red, pink, and/or white roses. They would be very suitable, and very Romantic choices!

    Heart shaped wreaths made from dried roses, white tulle, intertwined with lace, and even some drooping beads or pearls, would dress up the gazebo nicely. Don't forget to add in some white lights!

    Halloween

    Pumpkins of course! Fall leaves, Mums in fall (your wedding) colors. Black/ orange tulle, either as the main color, or made into bows to be the accent color.

    Beach/Sea Theme

    Sea Shells, Sea conches, starfish, all could be made into a cluster to be added to a large bow. Tiki torches and tropical plants are a must!

    Christmas

    A Very special season..... Use Holly, Poinsettas. Drape the railings and columns with white tulle, use large red bows for accent. Line the walkway with small christmas trees (adorn the trees with white lights), Use a white carpet runner, sprinkled with red rose petals.

    Use plenty of white lights. Hang pomander balls in archways.

    Garden Wedding Decorations

    This short video will help you to decorate a wedding arch. Be sure any arch you use is very Solid and stable and won't tip over! Having the archway come toppling down on you could really spoil the day!

    Decorate around the Gazebo

    Make sure things are tidy around the outside of the gazebo as well as inside. If it's your gazebo, you can plan ahead, planting roses, or flowers long before the expected wedding date. If you are renting one, use potted plants, topiarys, lanterns (with or without flowers,) etc.

    Lights

    White lights really add to the ambiance of the setting. Wrap the strands of clear white lights in and around the gazebo. Interwine with the garland, or string alone.

    Nearby bushes, or shrubs (especially ones that line the Gazebo), could also have lights.
