The fairy Godmother will supply you with your very own fairy wings, and wand.
You could print these out on some colored cardstock, and glue some glitter and fairy stickers to them, or cut them out in cute shapes such as butterflies.
Another idea is to print on 1/2 sheets of paper, and roll up, then tie with ribbon, imitating a scroll. (these will have to be hand delivered)
You could omit the part about giving them wings and a wand, but these items will really make the party special! You can purchase some pretty inexpensively at the Dollar Store if you have one locally or, right after Halloween all the costumes get marked down to 50% and them 75% off, so if you are planning a Fairy Birthday party that's a good time to purchase them! Scroll down to see some beautiful ones you can purchase!
These Tinkerbell invitations are all printed and ready to fill out!
Decorations
Your Enchanted Garden can be any spot outside that you decorate to look well... "enchanted".
You can achieve this with balloons, streamers, and other decorations such as butterflies and dragonflies. Some of these you can make yourself, using bright colored paper. Make cut-outs of butterflies and dragonflies, punch a hole in the top of each one, and hang (everywhere) trees, bushes, etc., with ribbon.
Inexpensive sheer fabric can help to "decorate" the party area for your fairy birthday party. Use soft pastel colors, looping and draping where it looks best. Add bunches of silk or plastic flowers at the tops of some of the loops. Stringing some lights (white or colored) that are partially hidden, would also ad a bit of "twinkle". And use curling ribbon (lots of it)! Cut strands about 2 ft. long, (use different colors ), and tie 6-7 together with a knot at the end, then using your scissors, curl the ribbon ends one at a time, leaving some longer. Tie this bunch any where you can hang something. Emblish with silk/plastic (or) real flowers.

Fairy Birthday Party Games
Just a few suggestions for games to play at the party.
Treasure Hunt
The Fairy Godmother (you!) will read clues to the whereabouts of the Unicorns "Treasure Chest" Kids work together as a team to try to figure out the clues. Each clue leads them to another "clue" Turn it into a story : Once upon a time... there was a unicorn who was cast out of the forest by an evil Toad King..The Unicorn was the purest of white. All the other unicorns had the ability to change colors, but this unicorn (Athesus was his name) was unable to change color, so the mean Toad King cast him out! The little Fairies of the Forest hid treasure chests of precious things around the magical garden, in hopes that if someone found the treasures and put them on, or held them in their hands (very gently) Athesus would gain some power, and be able to turn different colors like all the other unicorns. Then he would be able to join his friends in the forest. Lets follow the clues and try to find the treasure!(I quarantee you'll be looking at some wide-eyed kids, nodding their heads!)
Clue ideas such as " Take 8 steps forward and keep your head up, look to the sky, and a clue you will spy; (this is tailored to how many steps you need to get to a (tree) where you can place a clue.
(the clue is a tiny piece of paper rolled up, and tied with a ribbon.) If the kids are old enough to read, you could add to the excitement by letting them take turns reading the "scrolls"
You can make as many "clues as you want. Be sure to actually (hide) the treasure chest(a shoe box, that you decorate, or buy an inexpensive tin box with a unicorn or fairy theme) If not hidden, one of the guests might find it before you start, and spoil the game! Fill the bottom with tissue paper, and then add some colorful (gems) kids necklaces, colored rocks, etc. Be sure you have enough to give one to each party guest!
Freeze Fairy
Play some music while the kids "dance like fairies", when the music stops, they must "freeze" in whatever position they are in, if they move, they are eliminated. Music starts again,...last fairy left dancing wins the game.
Catch the Butterflies
Give each guest a butterfly net. Prepare some butterflies ahead of time from Tulle (6" X 25 YARD)
. You don't have to get too fancy here. Cut out some small pieces of tule (you can fold and cut lots at once.) Then scrunch up and tie in the middle with string, fan out a bit. They will resemble butterflies! The Fairy Godmother (or any tall person) stands in the middle of the group with a basket filled with the butterflies. You quickly lift the basket high in the air releasing the butterflies. The kids try to catch them in their nets. The one who catches the most wins the game!
The kids might enjoy a little face painting at the fairy birthday party. Not too much, just a star or flower painted on their cheeks!
Complete the Fairy Birthday party theme and add to the fun with a Tinkerbell Pinata! Always a hit at any kids party!
There are many crafts that would be fun for the kids to do at the party. Here are just a few suggestions:
- Make a "wishing box" Use any small boxes you can get (shoe boxes) decorate by first wrapping the box with wrapping paper, and then adding glitter, stickers and ribbons.
-
Make a 'Fairy Wand" Cut out colored poster paper into star shapes, decorate with colored markers/glitter, staple decorated stars onto the end of a straw, tie some curling ribbon on and let hang down.
- Fairy Headbands using inexpensive plastic headbands, wrap with colored ribbons, glue on some small silk flowers
