The Black Jade Rose, is a very dark colored red miniature rose bush. It is the closest to black of any miniature rose. The deep, velvety red blooms are perfectly shaped. Black Jade miniature rose has classic Hybrid tea form flowers. The lovely little blooms look like perfect, yet tiny Hybrid Tea roses.
This is a great rose for exhibition. The nearly black colored buds open to a very dark red color. When they are fully opened, the petals become cupped shaped, and expose the tiny golden stamens.
Because the flowers are such a dark color, exhibition judges,
sometimes shine a flashlight on the blooms, so that they can better see
the actual form of the flower.

This is a fast growing rose bush, that produces both clusters of 5-10 blooms, and single blooms, on strong, straight stems. They can be used for cut flowers, and are pretty in bouquets, but they have no fragrance. They are also very attractive in the garden, where they repeat well, producing blooms abundantly all season. They are especially well suited for containers.
They would be nice to line a walkway, or plant them in the front of the rose garden.
Glossy, green foliage provide a nice contrast to the dark red roses.
In hot climates, this miniature rose bush is sometimes grown in a bit of shade, to keep the blooms from burning in the hot sun. It keeps it's color better in cooler climates.
