America Climbing Rose
Large Flowered Pink Climber
The America Climbing Rose is a beautiful large flowered climber with salmon pink blooms.
It is an outstanding rose, and an award-winning performer. I have one growing on the edge of my garden, that was a gift from my daughter a couple years back. (Thanks Sheri)I love the color of this rose, it is not quite pink, yet not salmon either, but a pleasing combination of the two.
The colors are soft, with a terrific perfume. The blooms resemble those of Hybrid Tea roses.

Bred from another wonderful rose (Fragrant Cloud), this rose is very disease resistant. It has the most beautiful foliage I have seen on a rose. The glossy leaves look almost fake!
The long pointed buds on America climbing rose open into fully double blooms with a salmon/pink color. The flowers are spicy scented, and cup-shaped. This climbing rose bush is slow to climb, so give it a few years to get going. It is certainly worth the waite!
Some say the fragrance is like Dianthus perfume. Very spicy, and sweet.
It has good mid-season bloom with fair repeat. The fact that it is also winter hardy, makes it a good choice for colder climates. It usually climbs 8-12 feet.
This great rose was named and introduced during the U.S.bicentennial. 1976 (Hence the name)
