Pink Climbing Rose Bushes

america climbing roseAmerica

The America Climbing Rose is a beautiful large flowered climber with salmon pink blooms.

It is an outstanding rose, and an award-winning performer.

I have one growing on the edge of my garden, that was a gift from my daughter a couple years back. (Thanks Sheri)I love the color of this rose, it is not quite pink, yet not salmon either, but a pleasing combination of the two.

The colors on the America climbing rose are soft, with a terrific perfume. The blooms on this climbing rose resemble those of Hybrid Tea roses.

More about America Climbing Rose..

These large flowered, pink climbing rose bushes, were bred from another wonderful rose (Fragrant Cloud), x Tradition.

This rose is very disease resistant. It has the most beautiful foliage I have seen on a rose. The glossy leaves look almost fake! I actually touched the leaves and admired their beauty!

The long pointed buds on America rose open into fully double blooms with a salmon/pink color. The flowers are spicy scented, and cup-shaped, and pale as they age.

This climbing rose bush is slow to climb, so give it a few years to get going. It is certainly worth the wait!

It makes an excellent small climber, that would be suitable for pillars, climbing along a fence, or growing on walls. You can even trim it to grow as a large bush.It grows quick, (once it establishes itself) to 10-12'.

Some say the fragrance on these rose plants, is like Dianthus perfume. Very spicy, and sweet. (One of my favorite flowers)

It has good mid-season bloom with fair repeat. The fact that America Climbing Rose is also winter hardy, makes it a good choice for colder climates. It usually climbs 8-12 feet.

This great rose climber was named and introduced during the U.S.bicentennial. 1976 (Hence the name)It is still very popular today, and a much sought after rose for the garden.

The judges were right in giving it the All American Rose Selection award back in 1976, as it is a been a proven winner throughout all these years.
